Jakki Godfrey, proprietor of BORO 6 ART CONSERVATION, is an objects conservator whose experience includes work with fine and decorative art, ethnographic and historic collections as well as archaeological materials. A graduate of the Winterthur University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUDPAC), she has worked at the Asian Art Museum (San Francisco, CA) the Stedlijk Museum (Amsterdam, Netherlands), the National Museum of Natural History and National Museum of African Art (both in Washington, DC) and the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum (New York), where she participated in a survey of plastics in the collection. Jakki is now the Associate Objects Conservator at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, where she has worked since 2006.
As the proprietor of BORO 6 ART CONSERVATION, Jakki has also taught graduate and undergraduate courses at Pratt, the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
Jakki is a Professional Associate of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) and abides by the their Code of Ethics and Guidelines for Practice.
